The Old Colorado City Foundation has been involved in many improvement projects since its founding, including the renovation of the historic home that is now our office. That project included the important addition of public, ADA compliant restrooms.
More recently, we were awarded a grant from the Colorado Tourism Office to put together a national marketing campaign. Take a look at VisitOldColoradoCity.com and ShopOldColoradoCity.com to see the results.
Our next project may be the most important of all. Bancroft Park is due for a major renovation, including rebuilding the damaged band shell, updating the landscaping to accommodate bigger events and putting in safe, ADA compliant public restrooms.
You may have read about our collaboration with the city of Colorado Springs to acquire the money to complete the Bancroft Park renovations. These grants will make the project possible, but we still need the participation of our local community to make this project happen.
Be part of this communal effort to upgrade Old Colorado City and keep the tourists coming! We appreciate your participation and we know the denizens of the past would too.
